January often feels like the wrong time to start fresh—dark nights, winter fatigue, and lingering holiday exhaustion make it difficult to find motivation. While we pressure ourselves to begin anew, nature remains in hibernation, urging rest rather than action.
February, however, brings subtle signs of change. Snowdrops bloom, and wild garlic emerges, hinting at renewal. Then comes March—the true beginning of the year. Longer days, budding trees, and birdsong bring fresh energy, making it the perfect time to embrace new beginnings.
I feel that by the time March approaches, we’re more naturally ready to step forward with energy and purpose. Looking forwards to live music can mark another way to shake off winter and welcome the season with music and community.
